This is a song written by The Waiting Kind called “Innocent Blood“. The video was created and edited by Marcus Hackler. This song means a lot to us as it has to do with Jesus’ death on the cross. All the scriptures in the video are what the song was built off.
Lyrics:
I sing of innocent blood, he spilt to was my dreadful guilt
Sorrow He bore in my stead, covered in all His righteousness
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
For wondrous love would I sing, I’d soar to play on heav’nly strings
with angels I’d dare to sing in, sweet melodies of love divine
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
Oh Wondrous Cross, Oh Glory Divine
You laid down Your life while I held dear to mine
Oh Wondrous Cross, such innocent blood
The Savior of all born forsinners He died
Oh Wondrous Cross, Oh Glory Divine
You laid down Your life while I held dear to mine
Oh Wondrous Cross, such innocent blood
The Savior of all born forsinners He died
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
About the Band -Â ‘The Waiting Kind’
We are a progressive worship band that has a passion for seeing young, old, broken, and restored people touched by God’s presence in music. We believe in the power of “waiting”…or the moment when our brokenness is met with God’s redemption…As we wait…he hears and responds to our voice.
“…Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary…” – Is. 40:31
Theme : “We believe strongly that there is a power to waiting on the Lord in worship…the strength that comes in this setting is unlike any other grace we have come to know…” said the lead singer Derek Henbest. With influences such as Hillsong United, David Crowder band, and their friends Leeland; a very British rock with an ambient texture became what they now call “The Waiting Kind.â€
Their hearts have been to lead a generation in an anthem of praise; from hearts that sing grateful melodies of praise. They began to develop their sound in the back halls and prayer rooms of their church; Capital Christian Center in Meridian, Idaho. Most of the lyrics and melodies have been inspired by time spent in personal and community worship. This love and mercy they spoke of developed into hymnal sounds of worship that inspired their local congregation and became choruses of strength. “…
We pray that this is a sound that not only mirrors our love for what our Savior has done…but a sound that captures the heart of Him who first loved us…”
