Content of The Mystic Of Mystics Book
In this publication – THE MYSTIC OF MYSTICS – Liam introduces St. Juan de la Cruze (or in English – St. John of The Cross) who is considered one of the best if not the greatest writer of prose and poetry pertaining to the spiritual life.
The author refers to Juan/John as a close friend and admits his admiration for the saint’s prose and poetry but especially for the wisdom of the contents. As a person who has always probed existence and its meaning the author acknowledges the contribution made by the thinking of this Doctor of The Catholic Church to the perspective and the faith which he now holds and practices. For although baptised a Christian, the author in his past has tread the highways and the bye-ways of atheism and agnosticism. Liam is also a member of The Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS).
The book is an important introduction by Liam to a friend whom he refers to as the mystic of mystics and in so doing advocates that Christianity must return to its mystical roots as it struggles against the evil of modern secularism emanating from the activity of satan. Here Liam is in accord with the thinking of Fr.Rahner and the importance of contemplation or mysticism to the Church as the Body of Christ.
The book also includes modern prayers and post-modern poems which relates to the topic of mysticism and St.John of The Cross. This book can also be purchased via Amazon website going to Buy The Mystic Of Mystics Book Online.
