Why do Catholics pray to Mother Mary? Is Rosary really powerful?
The intercession of Mother Mary is very powerful as Jesus cannot neglect His mothers commands.This can be proved by the first miracle Jesus did at the wedding at Cana. – (John 2:1-11). Mother Mary told Jesus “They have no more wine.” And what was the final result? He turned water into wine.
In “The Poem of the Man-God” by Maria Valtorta, she says that Jesus told her about this incident as “I did it for Mary”. This proves that the intercession of Mother Mary is very very strong.
Mother Mary was blessed with Holy Spirit abundantly. We can see this as we read “At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Luke 1:39-41) ; just by Virgin Mary’s greeting.

What the angels thought on this matter:-
When angel appeared before Zechariah,father of John, angel just greets him by his name ,nothing more although he was “upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commandments and regulations blamelessly.” – (Luke 1:6)
When angel appeared before Joseph, the greeting was like this: “an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.” – (Matthew 1:20). Angel greeted him ‘son of david’, thats all.
Now let us see how did the angel greet Virgin Mary. It goes like this: “The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:28). See the difference….

Its clear that all who deny and even denounce Our Holy Mother are influenced by the devil. We should pray for them.
Nobody is denouncing Mary, we are denouncing you for worshipping someone other than God to whom all worship is due. I have never met Mary but I am sure she was a lovely woman, I am sure she was typically Jewish and typically older when she died. I am sure that her body typically rotted in the ground and that she will be typically raised to new life when Jesus returns.

Mary said to do whatever Jesus said, Jesus said to pray to The Father. Jesus never said to pray to anyone else, nor did any NT writer suggest prayer to anyone but God. When I was young, I used to believe Mama Mary, as I grew up, my belief to her and to other saints gone because I heard so many non-catholic who said we should not pray to these images. But then, I guess now is the time to believe again, be back to my belief as I was when I was a kid. Personally, I experienced miracle when I was young. I asked something during that time, I asked to win something so I could have money. Almost everyday, I visited the church to pray and asked mama mary. And the day comes that what I asked was given to me. Although the exact object was not given, but the equivalent of different object I received was still money. i joined a Raffle Promo and I won.
This might offend some but is the complete unadulterated truth with Scriptures to back it up.
The pope calls himself the vicar of Christ. Christ’s representative? I don’t think Jesus needs ANYONE to represent Him. He just wants us to FOLLOW Him and His Word. He can and does represent Himself and makes Himself known to those who have ears to listen to HIS voice! Please people…if you don’t believe me…with all of your heart, ask Jesus to SHOW YOU! He will if you believe He will.

Historical Fact: The scriptures were added to by the apostles and at the time theses additions were treated as scripture by the church.
Peter and Paul’s writings make that clear.

But on the other hand Martin Luther to satitisfy his lust to marry used the situation. Did it under the hood of satan. He broke the church. St. Francis Xavier never took any such steps to break the Church but brought reforms in a way that strenghtened the Church.

Also those who do not believe in Mother Mary, must be discarding their mothers once they have become self sufficient and so they assume that once Jesus had fulfilled His mission on earth, Mother Mary has become once again a mere human being who has died. What a way of looking at it. At least they must think that if a person was attacking your own mother, how would they feel? Wouldn’t Jesus too feel the same way? Something too ponder on for those out there who think Mother Mary is someone whom we should not consider important.
So I think all the explanations in the world would not make them change their minds if they have been brain washed by Satan. Having believed and living in Christ, the Church does undergo temptations. As mentioned in the Bible, Christ was tempted in the desert. Now, when Christ himself was tempted in the desert, how much more will we be tempted. Christ himself said that no servant is greater than the master, when he was crucified, don’t you know that we’ll be put to much peril, that we are weak and need God’s constant grace and mercy…that’s what the Catholic Church does, bringing forth a set of Prayers for all occassions, situations, preaching the Word of God-The Bible, Celebrating the Eucharist – The Greatest Of All Prayers, listing out traditions, rules, laws, etc., and appointing shepherds for each Parish across the Globe, educating people, caring for them in hospitals, old age homes, orphanages, there are so many activities which the Church does.
Now in the process of doing God’s will and being fallible men, The Church is bound to face challenges, which will definitely arise, because the one below, the fallen angel does not like this, this community, this oneness, this Church, so there are bound to be disturbances within the Church.
What will you do, if your parents fight? As Children and Cousins, will you help them reconcile or separate them, since they are incompatible. How much more situations does the Church face every day, every moment?
Now will you pray for this Church made up of totally incompatible people across different geographies, different tongues, different opinions, etc., or will you separate yourselves from the community or what we call as The Universal Church or The Catholic Church as it is not concern of yours and start your own group or become an Atheist. For me the Church and Christ are synonymous, like Christ and the Israelites, the Chosen Tribe. The Church is the Shepherd and we are the Sheep.
So whatever situations we might face today, we will stick to the Church, because in Union within ourselves and with Christ we will defeat the evil one…In faith, we will defeat the fallen angel, because Victory is Ours, which was purchased by Christ himself, and this was made possible because of the obedience of Mother Mary. And it is foolish of CERTAIN people to equate this relationship between The Catholic Church and Mother Mary as WORSHIP.
So bashing The Catholic Church and dishonouring Mother Mary is like fooling youselves with false beliefs, or rather raises from mis-understanding the Bible. I do not see any difference in what Lucifer did, by turning against God and in turn facing his wrath and what some of the Non-catholics/Christians do by turning against the Church and in turn scattering the sheep.

I argued long and hard with a friend of mine in Kent who is a catholic. She would not budge. We agreed to differ.
But with 3 hymns and a homily, I soon fell off the methodist cliff right in to a new age net.

The reason that I refer that the Originality resides with the Catholic Church, was because in the 1500 AD, when Martin Luther split from the Catholic Church, the Bible was redone and the meanings changed, some of the chapters removed, to suit his whims, and over a period of time totally distorted versions emerged, which are used by Non-Catholics, and probably by you.
I would like to point out an interesting fact, that Christianity is a religion of Faith, an Individuals Faith. The Bible acts as a guideline, a manual on how to live a Life, Faithful to God. Christianity was never a Religion by the Book. So we are not judged by the Bible, but by your own Faith. You should be aware as most of the healing in the Bible depends on the healed persons Faith, not on Gods capability to heal them, because God is the maker, so there’s no question about whether he can heal or not. Where there was no faith, there was no healing, like in Capernaum.

Where did traditions come from? What are Vatican Rules? For Ex: This LGBT stuff which is gaining popularity, existed since along time, even during Abraham’s time itself, in Sodom & Gomorrah. We cannot take the ‘nature’ of God while here, only the ‘image’.
Those who are allowed in to the Kingdom, take on the ‘image’ and the ‘nature’ of the ‘Son’ and become part of the Triune God.
Remember, we are the ‘bride’, the Son is the ‘Groom’. In the Mystical Marriage, they become One. Thats when ‘we’ become God the Son.

They thought they were the only ones who could read and interpret it. John Wycliffe and William tyndale were both burned at the stake by the Catholics for interpreting the Bible into English. Why did the Catholic Church not want anyone but them to read the Bible?
When someone tries to keep information from me I assume they have something to hide or they have no good on their minds.
Confession to a priest and doing “penance” does not get your sins forgiven. Repentance does. There is no purgatory. Once you are in the flames, there is no more hope. I could go on and on, but I was once like you. I believed that the Catholic Church was the one true church…I prayed to Mary, I even wanted to be a nun at that time…some 45 years ago. But when I was 28 I was saved…born again. Born of the Spirit. I was excommunicated prior to this by the Catholic Church because I had divorced my cheating and physically abusive husband. I sat in a Catholic Cathedral crying out to God with all my heart and asking why I couldn’t have Him. My daughter was to have open heart surgery in a few months and I so needed Him. Well, He heard my prayer and showed me that I COULD have Him. It wasn’t HIM that said I couldn’t…it was MAN…the Catholic Church’s rules and doctrines…that is it…doctrines of MEN.
I pray all of you will come to know Jesus AS I HAVE. Not jus know OF Him…but truly KNOW HIM!
Since I have left the Catholic Church, I have had so many prayers answered. My daughter, who wasn’t suppose to live, whose surgery was suppose to last 8-9 hours, was done in 2 1/2 hours. The whole time, 2 of my friends were praying through until they just couldn’t pray anymore. The minute they couldn’t pray anymore, was the exact same time the doctor told me that the sugery was done and went so very well. That was in 1982. The Lord blessed me with being able to see that same doctor just this year in September. He remembered us as my daughters case is being used for study. I had a chance to thank him again and he replied…it was not me. Frankly, I do not know HOW she lived…she was never suppose to. I am know the proud grandma of 5 and my daughter serves the Lord as I do. Satan cannot say the Name of Jesus…so I am not an anti-Christ. I love Jesus with all my heart and soul.

I was a catholic for 40 years ( from my family an Arch Bishop,2 Priests and one Nun – they serve a false church ) and after reading the “Catholic Bible ” I realised that whatever I followed during that 40 years are not mentioned in Bible.
I take the word of God as it reads.
There is NO idol worship in New Testament
There is NO child baptism in NT
There is NO priests in NT
There is NO confession to priests
There is NO nuns in NT
There is NO purgatory in NT
There is NO first communion function in NT
There is NO confirmation in NT
There is NO rosary in NT
There is NO Novena in NT
There is NO Litany in NT

You are definitely blinded by hatred. Thomas has already given enough explanation. Please read 1 Timothy chapter 2 completely and understand the meaning. The Bible is never foolish, But your interpretations are…
I repeat this again Babu, The NT in itself is not whole. It is GOD who is whole. BIBLE was put together by mere humans(us Catholics), Though they are written by GOD’s will. There are lots of books that are not added and lots of information that are no written!
Pray and discern HIS will and words, do you think that GOD stopped speaking to His people after the closure of the NT. He is still talking, Through those who He wants to, and through His People for Heaven.
And i keep repeating these, We are not doing idolatry…….
What is wrong in giving Child Baptism, and first Holy Communion.
Why are you against Rosary, Novena and Litany…….

Has any of you protastans who argue that we should not be praying to Mary or Saints ever read the parable of Lazarus and Richman? Who did the rich man called/prayed to from hell? Let me tell you do not ask for the intecession of Mary or any saints. You can do it with the rich man when you are with the rich man, where you belong to.
