Give Your Best To God

Give Your Best To God

If I do my best for you, it is fair that I expect the same from you. That’s the same with God too.

When He decided to bring us salvation, He didn’t give us an angel. He gave us His best – His only begotten unique Son, Jesus. Saving humanity wasn’t an easy task, nor was it cheap. The Father knew what His Son must go through and how much He must suffer for the cause. Still He chose to give – give up – His Son! That’s how much He loved you and me. He couldn’t stand to see us being lost forever.

Today we experience and enjoy the blessings of redemption. Even while we sleep, it is working in us. Even while we are busy, it is working for us. Heaven is getting ready to open the final chapter of the redemption story. All these are because God chose to give us His best! But are you giving Him your best? Give your best to God.

It is easy to give God something. But it takes love to give Him your best. For example, giving 1 apple out of 10 is easy. But giving 9 apples out of 10 is tough. But that is the quality of best. If your giving is best, there will be a pinch of pain, stretching and death (of selfishness)! In other words, giving your best is all about being a ‘living sacrifice’ (Romans 12:1). Its results are unimaginable. Give your best to God.

The one thing we can give God is our best. That’s the least we can give. Nothing else.

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” (John 3:16)

Question: When you rate your giving, what does it show? How do you plan to give your best to Him? Add your comment in the comments section. Also share this post with someone you love.

  1. I am sooo embarassed today because I am proud of myself of what I am already giving to God only to know now that what I am giving is just a pinch of what I should lovingly give to God. Honestly I know that it is because of fear. :( of finding later that I don’t have anything left for me already. Forgetting that my Father in heaven is rich and He can not be outdone with His generosity.

  2. What an encouraging article! I spent a good part of my day focused on doing everything with sincere love for the Lord. This message confirms that I (and family) are on the right track. Blessings to you…
