Prayer For Japan Earthquake And Tsunami Victims

Japan Earthquake And Tsunami

Let us pray for the victims of Japan earthquake and tsunami waves. An 8.9 earthquake struck Japan on March 11th, triggering tsunami tidal waves on the northeast part of Japan. Let us pray for all those victims and also for the souls who departed us.

Prayer for Earthquake And Tsunami Victims:-

Most merciful and compassionate God,
Giver of Life and Love,
hear our prayers
and let our cries come unto you.

We weep with your people in Japan
We hear the cries of orphaned children and laments of bereaved parents
We feel the desperation of those searching for loved ones
We behold the silence of vanished villages.

We see the devastation.
We are overwhelmed by the enormity of it all.
Our hearts are hushed, our minds are numb.
Let not our hands be stopped, our voices dumb.

God of the universe,
Open our hearts to feel your compassion
Galvanize in us the act of continued giving
Bond us to our sisters and brothers in need
Comfort and heal the injured, the bereaved, the lost
Strengthen the aid workers and medical personnel
Bolster the resolve of governments and those with power to help
Open through this tragedy pathways to partnerships and peace
In Your Name of mercy and healing and compassion we pray,
Amen.

There Is A Second Chance

A Second Chance U-Turn

When it seems you have lost the battle of life, when you feel deserted even among your loved ones, when all your strength and determination seems to fly away in the Horizon, in just one dolt; when you repent over the loss of your most precious gifts in life, through no fault of yours, remember one thing; Nothing is constant and permanent in this world. Neither time nor life, neither solution nor problems, neither precaution nor cure, neither success nor failure.

The thing you feel you have lost, was never yours, be it materialistic or a treasured relation, job or a person. You acquired it in the process of fighting the battle of time. Remember, you lose only when you possess it in the first place. It is you who achieved success in all the fronts of life. If you can do it once, you can do it again.

Do not lose hope. Have faith and believe in God.

Every human is born with a purpose in life. Think positive. One day these positive vibrations will attract and attach new strings in your life. These strings will create and bring the harmony and music in your faded life. Your life will become a musical note once again.

Who Was Mary To Jesus, So To Us

Who Was Mary To Jesus, So To Us

An article helping us understand the Marian passages of the Bible more clearly.

Many Christian denominations try to undermine the role of Mary in the life of a Christian, though their teachings are not founded on the word of God, they are very much appealing. However, the word of God very convincingly speaks of the role of Mary in the life of a Christian.

Mary, the partner

The wedding at Cana is actually a declaration by Jesus about His partnership with Mary. Many people consider this as an instance of Jesus declaring that Mary has no role in salvation. But the fact is quite different. When Mary tells Jesus,” They have no wine”, Jesus makes use of this opportunity to show the world that Mary is his partner in the process of salvation. Jesus tells her,” Woman, what concern is that to you and to me?”

If the sentence had been,” What concern is that to me?” or “What concern is that to you?”, it would have been a very insulting one. Such is the answer given to a person without any relation or to a person without any substantial relation. But Jesus question was completely different,” What concern is that to you and to me?” This is a question between two partners.

Only partners ask the question,” What is it for us?” An outsider asks, “What is it for me?” or “What is it for you?” An insider asks,” What is it for us?” So with this question, Jesus openly declared that Mary is his partner in the process of salvation.

Mary’s authority respected

Jesus not only declares to the world that Mary is his partner but also shows to the world that He respects her partnership. Even though Jesus said that his time had not yet come, Mary said to the servants,” Do whatever he tells you.” This can be said only by a person who has real authority. Jesus without uttering a word does whatever is required.

If Jesus wanted to show that Mary had no role, this was the best opportunity to do that, because just by not doing what was required for that family, he could have shown that Mary had nothing to do with the things he was going to do. Here Jesus declared to the world, “I have given authority to this lady to decide when and where I should do my work. And I will do it even if it is not in my mind to do that.”

Mary knew Jesus’ plans

Jesus told Mary,” My hour has not yet come.” Jesus tells about what is to take place only in later days. When Jesus tells Mary that his hour has not come, it should be understood that Mary was told or revealed what was to take place, because Mary’s asking for a miracle admits her knowledge of Jesus powers (Jesus had not performed any miracle until then) and Jesus’ reference ‘my hour has not come’ also takes for granted that Mary knew what Jesus was going to do and when he was going to do such things.

The word of God says,” Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee, and he revealed his glory; and his disciples believed him.” Even before his disciples came to know Jesus’ powers and believed, Mary knew Jesus mission and had unshaken belief in him.

Mary at the beginning and at the end

When Jesus performed his first miracle, Mary was with Jesus. When Jesus performed his greatest mission and ended his public life, Mary was with Jesus. When Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, Mary was with them.

Many people take into consideration the volume of things said by Jesus about Mary to measure her importance. But we must leave the quantity of the matter said by Jesus about Mary. Instead, we must think of the importance of the places where Mary appears in the scene. We must ponder the depth of the sentences about Mary, not the length of the sentence. If we do so, we will find only very pithy sentences about Mary.

So let us give as much importance to Mary as Jesus gave, not less, not more. Jesus declared her as co-redemptorist. Let us accept her as the co-redemptorist. Jesus gave her the authority to advance the time of redemption. Let us make use of it.

Jesus gave Mary permission to ask Jesus to do something in others’ life even if it does not concern him. Let us ask her to intercede for us.
