Where is Your Hiding Place?

Hiding Place

All of us face challenges in our life. Some may be difficult than the other. And those who hang on to God and find their rest in Him win the battle. But others who look up to any other source will fail the battle – even some may go the extreme of ending their lives.

King David faced a lot of battles in his life. In Psalm 18:2, we read his response to his challenge. He sings “the LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” David was a strong King in Israel who could have taken action as he wished against his enemies. But often he went in to God’s presence and hid himself there so that he could get divine guidance and have complete victory.

Many times we try to solve the issues in life by our own strength and abilities, but the fact is, God will fight the battle for us only if you give Him total control. You and I cannot do anything worthwhile by our own might. We need God’s might and help. Let God be your refuge and deliverer.

Suppose you face a battle in your relationship, you think if I don’t react immediately to my issue, I present a wrong picture about myself to others. Remember: you cannot please everyone with your defense. Anyway some people may misunderstand you, stand against you and get offended at you. How do you face that challenge? So go to God and open up your heart to Him. Keep doing good and overcome evil with good. Time will prove your innocence.

In the same way, if you are facing a physical illness in your body, trust in God and His Word. Confess the healing scriptures daily until you receive the total healing. Rather than trusting in doctor’s report, trust in God’s Word which is always true. The Word says ‘by the stripes of Jesus you are healed’. Jesus is the healer of your body.

Hide yourself in the arms of God. There is no other place like the Presence of God.

David says in Psalm 57:1 when he fled from Saul, Have mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me, for in you I take refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed.
