Alvin and the Chipmunks is an animated music group created by Ross Bagdasarian, Sr. in 1958. The group consists of three singing animated chipmunks: Alvin, the mischievous troublemaker, who quickly became the star of the group; Simon, the tall, bespectacled intellectual; and Theodore, the chubby, impressionable sweetheart.

The trio is managed by their human father and confidant, David Seville. In reality, David Seville was Bagdasarian’s stage name, and the Chipmunks themselves are named after the executives of their original record label, Liberty Records: Alvin Bennett (the president), Simon Waronker (the founder and owner), and Theodore Keep (the chief engineer).

The Chipmunk Song :-

The Chipmunks first officially appeared on the scene in a novelty record released in late fall 1958 by Bagdasarian. The song, originally listed on the record label (Liberty F-55168) as “The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late),” featured the singing skills of the chipmunk trio. One phrase in the chorus has Alvin wishing for a hula hoop, which was that year’s hot new toy. The novelty record was highly successful, selling more than 4 million copies in seven weeks, and it launched the careers of its chipmunk stars.

It spent four weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart from December 22, 1958 to January 12, 1959. It also earned three Grammy Awards and a nomination for Record of the Year. At the height of its popularity, Bagdasarian and 3 chipmunk hand-puppets appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, lip-synching the song. “The Chipmunk Song” appeared on the Chipmunks’ debut album, Let’s All Sing with the Chipmunks, in 1959, and was repeated on Christmas with the Chipmunks, released in 1962. The song also has been included on several compilation albums.

All right you Chipmunks! Ready to sing your song?
-I’ll say we are!
-Let’s sing it now!
Okay, Simon?
Okay, Theodore?
Okay, Alvin? Alvin? ALVIN!

Christmas, Christmas time is near
Time for toys and time for cheer
We’ve been good, but we can’t last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast
Want a plane that loops the loop
Me, I want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don’t be late.

Okay fellas get ready
That was very good, Simon.
Very good Theodore.
Ah, Alvin, you were a little flat, watch it.
Ah, Alvin. Alvin. ALVIN!

Want a plane that loops the loop
I still want a hula hoop
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don’t be late.
We can hardly stand the wait
Please Christmas, don’t be late.

Very good, boys
-Lets sing it again! Yeah, lets sing it again!
No, That’s enough, lets not overdo it
-What do you mean overdo it?
-We want to sing it again!
Now wait a minute, boys
-Why can’t we sing it again?
-[chipmunk chatter]
Alvin, cut that out..Theodore, just a minute.
Simon will you cut that out? Boys…

Video : Innocent Blood by The Waiting Kind

See this beautiful video song ‘Innocent Blood’ by The Waiting Kind…

Download Video Here

This is a song written by The Waiting Kind called “Innocent Blood“. The video was created and edited by Marcus Hackler. This song means a lot to us as it has to do with Jesus’ death on the cross. All the scriptures in the video are what the song was built off.

I sing of innocent blood, he spilt to was my dreadful guilt
Sorrow He bore in my stead, covered in all His righteousness

Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah

For wondrous love would I sing, I’d soar to play on heav’nly strings
with angels I’d dare to sing in, sweet melodies of love divine

Sing gloria
Sing allelujah
Sing gloria
Sing allelujah

Oh Wondrous Cross, Oh Glory Divine
You laid down Your life while I held dear to mine
Oh Wondrous Cross, such innocent blood
The Savior of all born forsinners He died

Oh Wondrous Cross, Oh Glory Divine
You laid down Your life while I held dear to mine
Oh Wondrous Cross, such innocent blood
The Savior of all born forsinners He died

Sing gloria
Sing allelujah

About the Band –  ‘The Waiting Kind’

We are a progressive worship band that has a passion for seeing young, old, broken, and restored people touched by God’s presence in music. We believe in the power of “waiting”…or the moment when our brokenness is met with God’s redemption…As we wait…he hears and responds to our voice.

“…Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary…” – Is. 40:31

Theme : “We believe strongly that there is a power to waiting on the Lord in worship…the strength that comes in this setting is unlike any other grace we have come to know…” said the lead singer Derek Henbest. With influences such as Hillsong United, David Crowder band, and their friends Leeland; a very British rock with an ambient texture became what they now call “The Waiting Kind.”

Their hearts have been to lead a generation in an anthem of praise; from hearts that sing grateful melodies of praise. They began to develop their sound in the back halls and prayer rooms of their church; Capital Christian Center in Meridian, Idaho. Most of the lyrics and melodies have been inspired by time spent in personal and community worship. This love and mercy they spoke of developed into hymnal sounds of worship that inspired their local congregation and became choruses of strength. “…

We pray that this is a sound that not only mirrors our love for what our Savior has done…but a sound that captures the heart of Him who first loved us…”

Video : Rifqa Bary’s Testimony

Watch Rifqa Bary giving her testimony in May of 2009 while Rifqa was in Ohio.

Do you know her? No? Read on!

Who is Rifqa Bary?

Fathima Rifqa Bary is an American teenager of Sri Lankan descent who drew international attention in 2009 when she ran away from home and claimed that her Muslim parents might kill her for having converted to Christianity. Two independent investigations in Ohio and Florida found no credible evidence that her life was in danger.

Ms. Bary’s case has become a focal point in a culture clash between Evangelical Christians and Muslim Americans. Muslim sources say it is motivated by Islamophobia; Christian sources say they fear for Bary’s life because they believe Islamic Sharia law mandates honor killing for apostasy.

Full Story:

Fathima Rifqa Bary is the 17 year old daughter of Mohamed and Aysha Bary, Muslim immigrants from Sri Lanka. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio. Rifqa’s attorney John Stemberger claims the Bary family are members of the Noor Islamic Cultural Center (NICC) near Columbus, Ohio. In an official statement, NICC denies they are familiar with Rifqa or her family and states that their records only show Rifqa attended their Sunday School three times in 2007.

Rifqa ran away from home in July 2009 to the home of a Christian pastor in Florida whose wife she had met on Facebook. She had been with Reverend Blake Lorenz and his wife Mrs. Beverly Lorenz for three weeks before they contacted child welfare authorities. Her case drew attention when she appeared on television and declared that her father “said he would kill me or send me back to Sri Lanka,” describing herself as the intended victim of an honor killing. Brian Williams drove her to a bus station where she purchased a ticket under an assumed name for her bus ride to Orlando.

Her parents say they have never threatened to harm her. Her father, a jeweler, told a reporter that “Honestly, we didn’t know why she left.” And that as to the death threat described by his daughter, “She doesn’t know what she’s talking about,” and “I want her to come back home. I love my daughter whether she’s Christian or anything else. I want my daughter back.”

I don’t know more. But I saw one thing! Her Testimony, in this video clip. This is amazing!

This girl has an amazing faith to our Lord. This is a Great example of God working through people to get His word spread throughout the world. Amen sister! God Bless you, Rifqa.
