Poem : Easter Sunday Service

Easter Sunday

Lord, how I love your Easter Sunday Service,
Every bright and Sunday morning, 10:45
Oh, how I love to hear your choir sing, He’s risen
And sweet songs about the Master’s el shaddai
Right now for me just being in God’s presence
Is all that really matters at this precious time

Now there’s scripture For This Easter Sunday Service
Of how Mary stood there crying by that tomb of stone
Then she turned and saw her Master and He was smiling
And Mary knew He was the holy one, that she loved so

Hell is hot….. Heavens high
And we’re somewhere in between
But have no fear, for the shepherds come
To bring in all the sheep

I exalt and call him my Lord
He opens every door
I sing praise to my Lord
My resurrected king

Lord, I’m so glad to praise the name of Jesus
In a holy place with angels all gathered around
Where people say good morning sir, may God bless you
Oh it’s the Easter Sunday service coming around
I’ll come again and again…. to praise the great “I AM”
This Easter Sunday service is coming around… coming around

Thank you Jesus

Resurrection of Jesus

The Resurrected Christ

Resurrection of Jesus from the dead was, and still is, a mystery to the world. However there are many solid proofs to the resurrection story. And it is an integral part of Christian faith. Many people still question the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

Before His death, Jesus had told His disciples about His resurrection on different occasions. Though they could not completely grasp it then, however, when they saw the resurrected Christ face-to-face over a period of 40 days, their faith and confidence in Him became strong and solid.

Biblical evidence for the resurrection of Jesus

There is plenty of biblical evidence for the resurrection. Matthew recorded the account describing that Mary Magdalene and some others witnessed the tomb to be empty where Jesus’ dead body once laid. An angel appeared to them saying that Jesus was not there; rather “he has risen, as he said” (Matt. 28:6).

Luke also wrote of this account and mentions later that Jesus walked with two men on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13:36). He also appeared to hundreds more and the disciples collectively. The letters of the New Testament depend on this truth. In fact, the final book of the Bible, John’s Revelations, says that Jesus will soon return. If He were still dead, all of these accounts would be wasted. The resurrection of Jesus proves much.

Unlike the other few resurrections in the Bible, like Lazarus, resurrection of Jesus was unique. The other ones could be defined as a reconstitution of the body. That is to say that the body was made alive again – yet it was still the same body that would die again. Jesus, on the other hand, was raised with an incorruptible body. It was one that would never die or suffer again.

Eternal Benefits

As one who follows this resurrected Christ and acknowledges Him as Lord and Savior, you are entitled to enormous eternal benefits. A list of these benefits of resurrection of Jesus is as follows:-

# You have been brought near to God (Ephesians 2:13)
# You are adopted as God’s son (Ephesians 1:5)
# You are part of a spiritual house (1 Peter 2:5)
# You have a living hope (1 Peter 1:3)
# You are free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2)
# You have no condemnation (Romans 8:1)
# You bear fruit for God (Romans 7:4)
# You have received reconciliation (Romans 5:11)
# You have peace with God (Romans 5:1)
# You are justified freely by his grace (Romans 3:24)
# You have God’s gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17)
# You have grace and peace in abundance (1 Peter 1:2)
# You have access to divine healing (Isaiah 53:5)
# You are being equipped with good things for doing God’s will (Hebrews 13:21)
# You have a conscience that is being cleansed from deadly acts (Hebrews 9:14)
# You are a partaker of God’s blessings given to Abraham (Galatians 3:14)
# You are presented as holy in God’s sight without blemish (Colossians 1:22)
# You have access to God’s financial abundance (2 Corinthians 8:9)
# You are an ambassador of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20)
# You are always led in triumphal procession (2 Corinthians 2:14)

As you enjoy these eternal benefits, introduce the resurrected Christ to those around you. Remember the resurrection of Jesus and believe in all things Jesus Christ has promised us.

May the whole community start experiencing Christ!

Saint Maximilian Kolbe

Maximilian Kolbe

Saint Maximilian Kolbe – Ever heard of him? We will see what is so special about him that he was canonized on 10th October 1982. He is also known as Maksymilian or Massimiliano Maria Kolbe and “Apostle of Consecration to Mary,” while he was born with the name Rajmund Kolbe.

Maximilian Kolbe was a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar who volunteered to die in place of a stranger in the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz in Poland.

During the Second World War he provided shelter to refugees from Greater Poland, including 2,000 Jews whom he hid from Nazi persecution in his friary in Niepokalanów. He was also active as a radio amateur, with Polish call letters SP3RN, vilifying Nazi activities through his reports. On 17 February 1941 he was arrested by the German Gestapo and imprisoned in the Pawiak prison, and on May 28 he was transferred to Auschwitz as prisoner #16670.

In July 1941 a man from Kolbe’s barracks vanished, prompting SS-Hauptsturmführer Karl Fritzsch, the deputy camp commander, to pick 10 men from the same barracks to be starved to death in Block 13 (notorious for torture), in order to deter further escape attempts (the man who had disappeared was later found drowned in the camp latrine). One of the selected men, Franciszek Gajowniczek, cried out, lamenting his family, and Kolbe volunteered to take his place.

During the time in the cell he led the men in songs and prayer. After three weeks of dehydration and starvation, only Kolbe and three others were still alive. He encouraged others that they would soon be with Mary in Heaven. Each time the guards checked on him he was standing or kneeling in the middle of the cell and looking calmly at those who entered.

When the remaining men had died and Kolbe was the last remaining he was killed with an injection of carbolic acid. Some who were present at the injection say that he raised his left arm and calmly waited for the injection. His remains were cremated on the Assumption of Mary (August, 15).

Father Kolbe was beatified as a confessor by Pope Paul VI in 1971 and was canonized by Pope John Paul II on 10 October 1982 in the presence of Franciszek Gajowniczek. Upon canonization, the Pope declared St. Maximilian Kolbe not a confessor, but a martyr. St. Maximilian’s beatification miracle was the July 1948 cure of intestinal tuberculosis in Angela Testoni, and in August 1950, the cure of calcification of the arteries/sclerosis of Francis Ranier was attributed to the intercession of St. Maximilian.

The Immaculata prayer by Saint Maximillian Kolbe

O Immaculata, Queen of Heaven and earth, refuge of sinners and our most loving Mother, God has willed to entrust the entire order of mercy to you. I, (name), a repentant sinner, cast myself at your feet, humbly imploring you to take me with all that I am and have, wholly to yourself as your possession and property. Please make of me, of all my powers of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, whatever most pleases you.

If it pleases you, use all that I am and have without reserve, wholly to accomplish what was said of you: “She will crush your head,” and “You alone have destroyed all heresies in the whole world.” Let me be a fit instrument in your immaculate and merciful hands for introducing and increasing your glory to the maximum in all the many strayed and indifferent souls, and thus help extend as far as possible the blessed kingdom of the most Sacred Heart of Jesus. For wherever you enter you obtain the grace of conversion and growth in holiness, since it is through your hands that all graces come to us from the most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Allow me to praise you, O Sacred Virgin. Give me strength against your enemies. Amen.
