Power of God’s Presence

Power of His Presence

Power of God’s Presence – Its awesome!

I am always aware of the Lord’s presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me – (Psalm 16:8)

A person who recognizes God’s presence in his life is truly blessed. It doesn’t matter what he faces or goes through, He knows that God is with him!

One of the famous Old Testament personalities, Joseph, is a good example (Genesis 37 – 47). From a very young age, he started having encounters with God in the form of dreams. Though some in his own family did not like this ‘dream thing’, Joseph recognized God’s abiding presence in his life.

He went through some real bad situations from his family as well as foreigners. He experienced trials and triumphs. Whether in the pit, prison, Potiphar’s place or palace, all along, Joseph was aware that God was with him.

Recognizing God’s abiding presence in your life has great benefits. It will help you live with an attitude of confidence regardless of what you face daily. It will also motivate you to live clean and be all that God has called you to be.

Are you shaken because of something you are facing right now? One of the best solutions is to run to God and pour out your heart to Him. Spend some time in His Word (Bible). As you do, you will sense God’s presence around you! And that will break shakiness and produce confidence.

Positive thinking and motivating talks alone have only limited value. But when you spend quality time with the heavenly Father, you become aware of His presence and love surrounding you. Then you will be flooding with positive thoughts! Then you will be motivated to accomplish remarkable things!

Jesus has promised us that He will be with us day in and day out (Matthew 28:20). Still, it is when you spend time with Him in prayer and Word that you become aware of His Presence. And that releases pure confidence to face the future!

So believe in the immense power of God’s presence in our day-today life.

Story of A Blind Girl

Story of A Blind Girl

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend, ‘If I could only see the world, I will marry you.’

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off, she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her, ‘Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?’ The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying : Take good care of my eyes, dear. I’ll always love you.

This is how the human brain often works when our status changes. Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who was always by their side in the most painful situations. Life is a Gift.

Today before you say an unkind word – Think of someone who can’t speak.

Before you complain about the taste of your food – Think of someone who has nothing to eat.

Before you complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone who’s crying out to GOD for a companion.

Today before you complain about life – Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before whining about the distance you drive Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the unemployed, the disabled, and those who wish they had your job.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down – Put a smile on your face and think: you’re alive and still around.

St. Theresa’s Prayer

St. Theresa's Prayer

St. Theresa’s Prayer

May today there be peace within.
May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you are a child of God.
Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and everyone of us.

Saint Theresa : Saint of the Little Ways

Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love. She is represented by roses.

“We live in an age of inventions. We need no longer climb laboriously up flights of stairs; in well-to-do houses there are lifts. And I was determined to find a lift to carry me to Jesus, for I was far too small to climb the steep stairs of perfection. So I sought in holy Scripture some ideaof what this life I wanted would be, and I read these words: “Whosoever is a little one, come to me.” It is your arms, Jesus, that are the lift to carry me to heaven. And so there is no need for me to grow up: I must stay little and become less and less.” – Saint Theresa
