John Paul II, (18 May 1920 – 2 April 2005), reigned as the 264th Pope of the Roman Catholic Church and Sovereign of the State of the Vatican City from 16 October 1978, until his death, almost 27 years later. His was the second-longest pontificate after Pius IX’s 32-year reign. He has been the only Polish pope, and was the first non-Italian pope since the Dutch Adrian VI in the 1520s.

John Paul II was Pope during a period in which the Catholic Church’s influence declined in developed countries but expanded in the Third World. During his reign, the pope traveled extensively, visiting over 100 countries, more than any of his predecessors. He remains one of the most-traveled world leaders in history. He was fluent in numerous languages: his native Polish and also Italian, French, German, English, Spanish, Croatian, Portuguese, Russian and Latin. As part of his special emphasis on the universal call to holiness, he canonized a great number of people.

He beatified 1,340 people , more people than any previous pope. The Vatican asserts he canonized more people than the combined tally of his predecessors during the last five centuries, and from a far greater variety of cultures. Whether he had canonized more saints than all previous popes put together, as is sometimes also claimed, is difficult to prove, as the records of many early canonizations are incomplete, missing, or inaccurate. However, it is known that his abolition of the office of Promotor Fidei (“Promoter of the Faith” and the origin of the term Devil’s advocate) streamlined the process.

Masturbation refers to sexual stimulation, especially of one’s own genitals and often to the point of orgasm, which is performed manually, by other types of bodily contact (except for sexual intercourse), by use of objects or tools, or by some combination of these methods. Many physicists consider this to be perfectly ok and gives the thumbs up for doing this. But THIS IS VERY WRONG.

SPIRITUAL EFFECTS:-

Let us consider the views of Catholic Church on Masturbation. The Church’s teaching on the matter of masturbation is a consequence of its overall understanding of human sexuality. It says that the deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose.

The Church views sexual expression between a man and a woman in the context of marriage to be a sacred, even sacramental act. Consequently, all other sexual activity including masturbation, homosexual acts, acts of sodomy and sex outside of marriage and the use of artificial contraception as morally disordered as they frustrate the intention of God “written” in the design of the human body. Sexual expression must be a complete act of mutual self-giving only possible between a married couple open to the conception of a new child.

The Church firmly says “By masturbation is to be understood the deliberate stimulation of the genital organs in order to derive sexual pleasure. Both the Magisterium of the Church, in the course of a constant tradition, and the moral sense of the faithful have been in no doubt and have firmly maintained that masturbation is an intrinsically and gravely disordered action. “The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose.” For here sexual pleasure is sought outside of the sexual relationship which is demanded by the moral order and in which the total meaning of mutual self-giving and human procreation in the context of true love is achieved.

To form an equitable judgment about the subjects’ moral responsibility and to guide pastoral action, one must take into account the affective immaturity, force of acquired habit, conditions of anxiety, or other psychological or social factors that can lessen, if not even reduce to a minimum, moral culpability.”

Just consider this: You have to go wild in your imagination about a sexy lady/actress you have just seen to stimulate your emotions or think about a sexy scene from a movie etc… But just think that Jesus has said that even if you look at a girl with desire, then you have committed adultery with her in your heart. So more masturbation means more sinful your life becomes.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL EFFECTS:-

For men, our one discharge of sperm fluid contains 40 crores of sperm. Just think about it, how many crores of sperm have you wasted till date??? God has designed our body such that the excess sperm produced will be ejected out naturally during sleep through ejaculations. No need to worry as it happens almost unnoticed.So why take the pain to alter god’s desire and make the process a gravious sin by masturbating? Moreover frequent masturbation can even make you impotent by gradually decreasing your sperm count. Why take this heavy risk for a pleasure that lasts only for a few seconds? THINK!!!

Considering the mental side, doctors have agreed that frequent masturbation can lead to

2. Loss of Memory

3. Inability to reproduce in future

Moreover the 3rd one is dangerous because it can leave you impotent.Doctors have confirmed that 80% of sexual problems in man is due to SUDDEN EJACULATION, the quick ejaculation of sperm during sex with one’s partner.This happens because when we masturbate, we constantly look forward to the climax with eagerness to reach it as fast as we can.So we are training our body to reach the sexual climax as soon as possible, that also without a partner to arouse us. So just think what will happen when your partner is by your side to stimulate you?? You will be reaching your sexual climax in seconds, way before your partner is even half way along the lane!!!PROBLEM RIGHT,FOR SURE!!!

I admit that most teenagers are in the habit of masturbation. But that doesnt make an evil , harmful thing good anyway!!!

But we all are HUMANS. We are helpless sometimes. And one may do it however hard he try once a month. That frequency is more acceptable because he tried his best and stood his ground in a 100 or more temptations and gave in only once a month. But I am talking about those who have made this a regular work everyday. I even know some who do it 3 times a day.Its for those i am writing this article.

Dear child, turn to God. He can save you from the evil habit of masturbation cultivated by the Devil. One cannot stop this wrong habit by himself without God’s help.So pray hard my friends, apply constraints on your thoughts and deeds with prayer.Then you can escape from this devilish habit.
