The red ants around our yard and pool this summer have been out of control! Each time I apply ant poison to a mound- it dissipates, but a new one crops up nearby. Today I had a first hand view of the extensive spread of these insects.

We had one small ant hills by the swimming pool, and I spread the poison.  The next morning I woke up- ready to wash away the residue dirt and  discovered the ants had moved about six yards away and had increased to 6 hills.

This entire picture reminded me of how the early church spread.  At first, there was just one body of believers- those who comprised the early church, and they loved and worked for the Lord with a passion. Today there are many denominations – still all loving the Lord and serving Him with a glad heart .The Christian church spread, just as the ant mound had done.

It is true that the queen must be at the heart of the ant colony to ensure the life of it.  Likewise, so must we keep the King - our Lord Jesus-  with us as we move geographically. This is the only way we are able to stay alive in our Christian walk. Satan is pouring sin on Christians to try and stifle or kill their faith-but we can move away from this, just as these ants had done today.

Just as the minute red ants pulled together to make their move, so the Body of Christ can pull together in tough times. There is strength in unity, as those ants proved to me today!  Christians need to stand arm in arm- linked to form an unbreakable chain- working together to make the necessary faith moves in life.  The most important factor, however, is keeping the King alive in each believers’ heart .  With His life alive in us- Christians can claim the victory over Satan, because Jesus has proclaimed it so.

When the Feast of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force — no one could tell where it came from. It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them. - (Acts 2:1-4)

The image of “tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them” (language of other translations) is a powerful one. This wildfire of God’s grace signals the dawning of a new era in God’s work of salvation. The message of Jesus is boldly proclaimed.

Hearts are convicted and touched. Faith is born. People are baptized. The Spirit is given as God’s gift. Sins are gone. A new movement is begun that will sweep through the mighty Roman Empire and is still with us today.

The Holy Spirit is the wind that causes heaven’s wildfire to spread through human hearts and change the future of people, family, friends, cultures, and nations. So let’s pray for this wildfire to sweep through our lands, our churches, our friends, and our own hearts!

Prayer : O Father in heaven, I know that the Holy Spirit lives in me and in the hearts of your people. Yet we yearn for a fresh movement of your Spirit to bring renewal, to empower evangelism, to bring conviction of sin and a realization of grace, peace, and joy. Please send your Holy Spirit to break out like wildfire among us and propel us to be the people our world needs us to be! In Jesus’ name we ask for this grace. Amen.

God is looking for a generation who seek Him. Just like David prayed, we need to pray: “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple” (Psalm 27:5)

In today’s world, all of us must set a priority list for our daily life. There will be many things in this list. Give God the first place in this priority list. As you do so, you will see the hand of God working in every other jobs of the day.

God will be with you to give you wisdom, power and ability to do your work. His wisdom is higher than worldly wisdom. In these last days, God wants to see Daniels and Josephs rising up and give wisdom words to the Church and the world.

When you seek God, you will have everything that He has. You will save your time, energy, resources, etc. You will be able to have all the victories in life. Seek God and His righteousness and all other necessary things that we need in the world shall be added unto you.

You don’t need to go after the money and riches of the world. But the goodness of the Lord shall follow all the days of your life.

Spend time in the presence of God, not to get some blessings from God but to enjoy Him and His beauty. He knows your heartbeat. He will surely help you to overcome every adverse situation in your life.

As you enjoy God, you will experience His peace that surpasses all understanding. You will forget every issue of your life and get soaked with His love, power and glory. You doubt your doubts and you start believing God more and more. You will surely confess with your mouth that ‘my God will never leave me, nor forsake me. I enjoy Him all the days of my life. No issues of life can separate me from the love of God’.

Instead of seeking answers to your problems, it would be always good to seek God. God is the source of your solutions. He will answer your questions. Walk habitually with God. Go after Him. God is waiting for a generation who gives priority to Him alone.

Your heart and mind will be caught up with God’s love when you start seeking Him. You will not feel like to go after anything else. The Holy Spirit will guide you every step of your way. You will overcome every temptation. The devil will not come near you since you are clothed with God’s presence.

Start seeking God consistently and habitually all the days of your life. You will never be the same again!
