O God, give me all the simple,
Basic things which will make me able
To be a useful person in this world.
Help me to be
Honest, so that people will be able
to absolutely depend on my word;
Conscientious, so that nothing that I do
may ever be less than my best;
Punctual, so that I may not
waste the time of others
by keeping them waiting for me;
Reliable, so that I may
never let people down
when I promise to do something;
With a sense of responsibility,
so that I may always think of
how my action will affect
not only myself but others too.
Help me to live in the constant memory
That you see and hear all that I do and say.
Hear this my prayer for your love’s sake, Amen.
