What is ideomotor effect?

The ideomotor effect is a psychological phenomenon wherein a subject makes motions unconsciously. As in reflexive responses to pain, the body sometimes reacts reflexively to ideas alone without the person consciously deciding to take action. For instance, tears are produced by the body unconsciously in reaction to the emotion of sadness.

Stage hypnotists exploit the ideomotor effect for entertainment value, convincing volunteers to perform some action without consciously deciding to do so. The volunteers usually have no memory of their performance, much like sleepwalkers. More subtle unconscious physical reactions are often used by magicians and illusionists to perform “mind-reading” tricks.

Be Careful when you take little children to church on sundays.

1. One thing is that they wont fully get what the priest is saying there.

2. They may run around and disturb other people who came to pray.

3. And , as in this comic, rarely, they may feel insecure hearing a lot about the baddie, Satan.

See what the robots think about us, their creators. Ya, it seems hard for them to imagine about us, a magic CPU in the sky, that created them. But one of them also wonders about the complexity of their algorithms and says it can`t imagine that all that evolved naturally.

See what the other robot says then… If complexity necessitates a creator, wouldnt our creator also need a creator…
