2000+ subscribers for TurnBackToGod (TBTG)

2000 readers

Today I notice that TBTG subscribers/readers count has gone over the 2000 mark (see on the top right side). Its a little unstable, so kindly forgive me if it went a little down when you are reading this post.

Anyway, the good news is that TurnBackToGod can now boast about a 2000 plus people in the world loving our blog and in order to avoid missing even a single post, these people have subscribed to our blog feed (feed helps you to get updates).

I know that there are a lot more than this 2000 who visit our blog daily to know the updates, because  we update TBTG daily. We greatefully remember you people also. I would like to suggest to these people that you should subscribe to updates via Email (or via feed as you like), so that whenever a new post appears in TBTG, you are informed for sure.

You can do this using the Email subscription form we put at the top right side of TBTG, with a smiling face of Georgy giving you a thumbs up and pointing to the Email subscription form below me.

Please note these 2 things :

1. You can avoid this and check back everyday to see the updates; Its ok; But its easier this way as you need to come to our site only if you like the content title u get in feed readers and i case of email subscriptions, as we provide the full feed through mail, you don’t even need to come here to read the full article. Does that ring any bell?

2. We won’t spam you with tons of emails everyday. Even if we post 10 posts or 1 post a day, you will receive only one mail with all the post contents. And as we update TBTG every day, be prepared to get that one email every day as you open your inbox (in the case where you have subscribed with your email address) and we are sure that email will brighten up your day.

And moreover, if you like us and want to help us, then we please recommend you subscribe to us so that we may reach our next target of 3000 subscribers sooner and thus we all spread the Word of God allover the planet, together.

God Chose You

God Chose You

“…God chose the foolish things of the world….weak things of the world…lowly things of this world…despised things…the things that are not…” (1 Corinthians 1:27-28 NIV)

Many times I stand amazed at God’s choices especially when it comes to ministers of God’s Kingdom. They may not have bright talents or abilities. Yet they minister so powerfully.

You may have asked this question yourself – “How am I here in this place? Am I really qualified to do this?”

We read the answer in today’s Bible passage quoted above. Paul encourages his disciples to know this great truth: God prefers the ‘not so wise’, ‘not so influential’ and ‘not of noble birth’ type of individuals (v.26). Why does God prefer them? Here’s the reason: He selects the ‘foolish’ people to shame the wise; He selects the ‘weak’ people to shame the strong (v.27). He selects the lowly and despised people to cancel out what the world considers important so that no one can ever boast in the presence of God (v.28).

Beloved, if you are struggling to do things properly or if you are pressurized to perform in your carrier, remember that God knows you completely more than anyone else. He has chosen you to function as He has created you to be. Don’t compare yourself with others. As a disciple of Christ, you will always see the hand of God protecting you.

In the following verse (1 Corinthians 1:30), Paul says that God alone made it possible for us to be in Christ Jesus. Jesus is the one who made us acceptable to God the Father. He made us pure and holy and He gave Himself up on the cross to purchase our freedom.

Remember: don’t struggle to be perfect in every thing that you do. You may make thousands of mistakes in your day-to-day affairs; but get up and do the right thing once again! Commit your life, carrier and dreams into God’s hands. Let Him make it superb, brighter and shining before others. You are called to be a winner through Christ Jesus!

John Mason gives a beautiful insight: “Be an answer. Get in the way of someone you know is on the way down. Walk in on someone you can help when others are walking out. There are no unimportant jobs, no unimportant people and no unimportant acts of kindness.”

Be a blessing to others. Relax and enjoy your life that God has given you. He is with you. And He will guide you through.

Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving….A good time to ask myself, what am I thankful for?

Even better, whom should I thank on this 4th Thursday in November?

Often it looks like it’s a person who deserves our thanks.  Sometimes we think circumstance gets the credit.  Yet ultimately, everything we have is a gift from God.  Even who we are is a gift from God. God uses people and situations to bring His gifts to us.  He alone is the Great Gift-giver. It is good to know Who to thank.

Today, we gather for the Thanksgiving Day as a sign of our love and gratitude to the Almighty God.  We remember the reasons to be thankful – our freedoms, our families, our parents, our spouse, our children, our friends, our homes, our jobs, our clothes, our stuff, our health, our life itself and the many gifts we have received from God– although our lists may be different our feelings are the same.  We should also take time to thank our brothers and sisters who have served our country and thank the brave citizens who continue to serve our nation.  They are the reason we can celebrate this holiday.

As we prepare for this day of thanksgiving, we pause to reflect on all of our blessings and successes.  Thank you for the great job we do everyday.

Let us not forget, however, to include a special thank you to our families, relatives, friends, and people whom we loved. We want to also thank all of our wonderful parishioners who dedicate their time and resources, talents, abilities and God-given gifts they shared with their fellowmen and women.

We praise God for this Thanksgiving Day, for the abundant blessings and mercies He has poured forth upon us, for the greatest gift of life He has given us.  May God continue to bless our country as a refuge for people from all corners of the earth and from every faith. May He strengthens us in our trials and held us up in the face of adversity. He has granted us this beautiful and bountiful land, filled with the fruits of freedom, worship, and hard work.

In this harvest time, as we gather together on the table with our family and friends, we give thanks to our Lord, the giver of life. May this be a reminder for us to be humble in our abundance and to remember the sacrifice of our forefathers. May their example inspire us to be generous and hospitable to others especially the needy and poor of our communities.

Dear Lord, please send Your grace upon those who are not with us at this Eucharistic table, especially those serving our country, and grant them the comfort of Your love.  Thank You Lord.
