The Deadliest Trap

Eve and Satan

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.” – (Genesis 3:8)

Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, enjoyed great relationship with God on a daily basis. Being in a sinless state, they lived in an atmosphere of tremendous faith, boldness, peace and joy.

But, as in a dream, all of these vanished suddenly on one particular day! That day, when God came to the garden, Adam and Eve heard the sound of His footsteps. Usually their hearts rejoiced at the thought of being with the Almighty Creator. They loved His Presence and His Words.

But not that day. That day, they felt a strange sense of shame and fear as they heard Him coming. That strangeness multiplied as His Presence moved near. Not being able to stand this any longer,  they ran off and hid themselves among the leafy trees of the garden. Not finding them in the usual spot, God called out, “Adam, where are you?” There came a reply from somewhere nearby, “We are naked. So we are afraid to meet with you!”

“Who told you that you are naked”, God asked. “Did you eat the fruit of the tree that I told you not to eat from?”

“I just had only a sample bite of its fruit which my wife gave me”, responded Adam innocently. But Adam didn’t understand then that his sample bite was not a simple bite but a serious bite that could deplorably alter the whole story of the universe – and it happened so!

Even today, Satan is employing the same trap to deceive people. If you could remember, can’t you point out those times when you heard a strange whisper in your ears, “It’s only a bite. No one sees it. Now is your time. Just do it – only a bite. Enjoy it and forget it!”

Many fall into that trap – “After all it’s only a bite. My parents won’t know it. My spouse won’t see it. It won’t affect my future. It’s just a puff, a clip, a date…” And that will take them captive till they end up lost and empty!

If you are facing such a situation, the word of the Lord to you is: ‘RUN’! Not as Adam did, but vise-versa. Run off from that atmosphere of temptation and run as fast as you can to God’s Presence. Don’t say, “I can handle it by myself”. No, you can’t. You need God’s help and strength. Run to Him. Fall at His feet in prayer. Ask Him to strengthen you through His Word and empower you with His Spirit. And, as His Word and Spirit perform a great work in you, then you can stand up boldly and live victoriously!

Video : A Man Fell In A Hole

Watch the above Video Clip. Its really a wonderful and rare one.

Download Video Here

The video starts by showing a man falling into a hole. He tries to escape from there, but in vain. Meantime many people come near the hole and advise him several things like he should meditate and reach Nirvana to escape, the hole is actually not there and its an illusion, pray hard to get out of the hole etc etc…

The man tries everything as told to him, but still he remains in the same hole.

Then, one day, another man with a graceful face came near the hole. He called out and asked the man in the hole whether he wanted to be free. The man nodded. This man then threw a rope into the pit and came down to the hole himself. Then he took hold of the man in the hole, who by the time was almost unconscious, and dragged him into the light.

The man in the hole was saved and he saw that his savior had a hole in his palm. He quickly stood up and what he saw was just  THE CROSS.

What lesson do we learn from the above video?

It’s not by our own strength that we can overcome the sinfulness of our hearts. Only through Christ our Lord can we find the power to overcome the sinful nature of our wicked hearts and minds. Without Christ it is impossible. This video sums up that we need Christ to help us or we never get out of darkness of sinfulness.

It is such a good picture of how sinners try everything the world has to offer but they cannot fulfill or redeem them. But God is rich in mercy and love. What a great thing for the ALMIGHTY GOD to humble himself and be born in sinful flesh to pay the price to redeem us.

Regarding why the last man was last : Maybe the last man was always there but could not be seen or comprehended by the man in the hole until he had reached a certain level of despair and hopelessness. Sometimes we refuse to see what is right in front of us, or we are so blinded by things we desire or the way that seems easy that we fail to recognize what we really need. And I don’t believe Jesus waits until we ask for help. The apostle Paul says Jesus saved us while we were still sinners, even before we were born, by dying on the cross. Jesus is always with us, knowing us and loving us before we were even born. He watches over us through family and friends. He comes to us in Baptism and seals us as his own. Some of us still fail to see him. Some of us have to fall into a big hole and use everything at our disposal before we are able to finally recognize the one who had his hand out for us all along.

We try everything in our own strength But we can’t do it on our own we need Jesus Christ. Thank You Lord for Salvation and for your indescribable love and mercy.

This is the greatest love of our Savior Jesus Christ. The other men were mislead. Jesus was the only One who could save him. The morale of this story is that Jesus is the only way out of despair.

More than a moving portrayal of man’s situation without God…it shows us what God is willing to do just so to save us! HALLELUAH!!!

Great message of how long we wonder before going to the Way, The Truth and Life — Jesus Christ.

Story : The Water

Water to save others

It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk. The creeks and streams were long gone back into the earth. It was a dry season that would bankrupt several farmers before it was through. Every day, my husband and his brothers would go about the arduous process of trying to get water to the fields. Lately this process had involved taking a truck to the local water rendering plant and filling it up with water. But severe rationing had cut everyone off. If we didn’t see some rain soon…we would lose everything.

It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes. I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his brothers when I saw my six-year old son, Billy, walking toward the woods. He wasn’t walking with the usual carefree abandon of a youth but with a serious purpose. I could only see his back. He was obviously walking with a great effort…trying to be as still as possible. Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he came running out again, toward the house. I went back to making sandwiches; thinking that whatever task he had been doing was completed. Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that slow purposeful stride toward the woods.

This activity went on for an hour: walk carefully to the woods, run back to the house. Finally I couldn’t take it any longer and I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey (being very careful not to be seen…as he was obviously doing important work and didn’t need his Mommy checking up on him). He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked; being very careful not to spill the water he held in them…maybe two or three tablespoons were held in his tiny hands. I sneaked close as he went into the woods. Branches and thorns slapped his little face but he did not try to avoid them. He had a much higher purpose.

As I leaned in to spy on him, I saw the most amazing site. Several large deer loomed in front of him. Billy walked right up to them. I almost screamed for him to get away. A huge buck with elaborate antlers was dangerously close. But the buck did not threaten him…he didn’t even move as Billy knelt down. And I saw a tiny fawn laying on the ground, obviously suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, lift its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my beautiful boy’s hand.

When the water was gone, Billy jumped up to run back to the house and I hid behind a tree. I followed him back to the house; to a spigot that we had shut off the water to. Billy opened it all the way up and a small trickle began to creep out. He knelt there, letting the drip, drip slowly fill up his makeshift “cup,” as the sun beat down on his little back. And it came clear to me. The trouble he had gotten into for playing with the hose the week before. The lecture he had received about the importance of not wasting water. The reason he didn’t ask me to help him.

It took almost twenty minutes for the drops to fill his hands. When he stood up and began the trek back, I was there in front of him. His little eyes just filled with tears. “I’m not wasting,” was all he said. As he began his walk, I joined him…with a small pot of water  from the kitchen. I let him tend to the fawn. I stayed away. It was his job.

I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful heart I have ever known working so hard to save another life. As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground, they were suddenly joined by other drops…and more drops…and more. I looked up at the sky. It was as if God, himself, was weeping with pride.

Some will probably say that this was all just a huge coincidence. That miracles don’t really exist. That it was bound to rain sometime. And I can’t argue with that…I’m not going to try. All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our farm…just like that actions of one little boy saved another.
